MANILA, Philippines–Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. arrived at the Sandiganbayan on Thursday for the continuation of his bail hearing on plunder over his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.
The anti-graft court’s first division is expected to issue a resolution on Revilla’s bail motion soon after the prosecution finished fielding witnesses against him.
The defense is expected to field witnesses supporting Revilla’s bail motion.
Revilla’s camp fielded a handwriting expert to prove Revilla’s signatures were forged, while the camp of accused mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles will field an immigration official to prove that she was out of the country during the alleged time of the receipt of kickbacks.
Revilla is detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center with fellow Senator Jinggoy Estrada. Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, meanwhile, is under hospital detention.
