MANILA, Philippines—The Manila city government is offering a P200,000 reward for anyone who can lead the police to the still unidentified killer of PO3 Ronaldo Flores, the traffic officer who was gunned down while on duty on the night of Nov. 13 in Quiapo.

Aside from the reward, City Hall has also ordered the creation of a task force headed by Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz, chief of the MPD directorial staff, to solve the killing of Flores, a member of the Manila Police District’s Traffic Enforcement Unit.

According to Cruz, Flores was then manning a post that was part of the route to be taken by Mayor Joseph Estrada’s convoy that night.

The 46-year-old policeman was then clearing the area together with three civilian traffic marshals when he was shot in the head and body.

The MPD said tips that can lead to the assailant’s arrest can be relayed through its hotline (02) 5244311.
