NAGUILIAN, Isabela – Three people died while two others were hurt on Tuesday when their pick-up truck hit the rear end of a truck along the national highway here.

Maryjane Sales and her cousins, Jessie and Rodel Crisostomo, all of Ilagan City, died when their Nissan Navara smashed the rear end of a truck loaded with sacks of corn kernels at about 2 a.m.

Their companions, Barangay (village) Cabiseria councilor Eduardo Sales and Jonifer Edrada, were taken to the Governor Faustino Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital in Ilagan.

Police said the victims came from a birthday party in Cauayan City and were on their way home to Ilagan when the accident happened.
