Binay may take breather as budget tops Senate agenda at resumption of sessions
MANILA, Philippines– Vice President Jejomar Binay may heave a sigh of relief as the Senate may have to momentarily suspend its investigation into the allegedly overpriced Makati City Hall 2 parking building to pave the way for the proposed 2015 national budget.
Drilon said the Senate would start its plenary deliberations on the proposed budget when it resumes session on Monday, November 17.
“Pag naumpisahan na yung pagdebate sa budget e tabi na muna ang mga imbestigasyon,” he said in an interview over DWIZ on Friday.
Asked if that would mean suspending the investigation of the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee on the overpriced allegation involving the Vice President, Drilon said: “Tama, tama.”
Binay was the city mayor when the construction of the Makati City Hall 2 parking building started in 2007.

Binay has repeatedly denied the allegations.
