Different president, same old complaint

There are potholes everywhere in Makati City, particularly on the streets of Kamagong, Zapote and Kakarong, the area going to Villamor Base and both lanes of South Superhighway. The presidency may have changed hands but the complaints remain the same. I wonder, where did the road users’ tax go? We taxpayers are not benefiting from it. Who do we turn to for help?—Anna de la Cruz, Makati City

Rafael and Ma. Susafe streets in San Antonio Valley 7, Pulang Lupa Dos, Las Piñas City, are perennially flooded because of water leaks. The Mayor’s Office said that the problem should be fixed by Maynilad because it is the water firm’s responsibility but Maynilad denied this. Residents are worried because mosquitoes carrying the dengue disease may end up breeding in the stagnant water. The streets have also become slippery because of moss growing in the area, posing a danger to pedestrians and motorists. Who is responsible for fixing this problem?—Anonymous, Las Piñas City

Road repair in limbo

Gen. Simon Street corner Edsa beside MCU in Caloocan City was dug up in March but up to now, it has not been restored. The area is very dangerous when it rains especially for students who use the street. Attention, Caloocan Mayor Recom Echiverri, please have the road repaired at once.—Dennis Lima, Caloocan City

No discrimination, please
