Lone gunman in QC kills salon manager, then taxi driver

MANILA, Philippines—A salon manager and a taxi driver were gunned down by a still unidentified man in Fairview, Quezon City on Wednesday afternoon.

A radio report said the man first went to Salon de Luxe for a manicure. He suddenly drew his firearm and shot to death the female manager.

To escape, the man rode a bus and forcibly took at gunpoint the driver’s uniform. Minutes later, he got off the bus and flagged down a taxi, which bore license plate UVA 542.

The taxi driver, identified in the report as Norberto Espiritu, refused to let in the man. Enraged, the man shot Espiritu several times.

The killer fled‎ to an unknown direction.

Police are on the scene to investigate the incident.
