MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area near Surigao del Sur has dissipated, state-run Panahon TV said on Wednesday.

This means that the only prevailing weather system in the country is the northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” in Luzon.

“Metro Manila, the rest of Central Luzon, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
