MANILA, Philippines—A total of 1750 police recruits were added to the Metro Manila police force as they took their oath before the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief on Thursday.

The police recruits—who took their oath before NCRPO chief Director Carmelo Valmoria at the Metro Manila police headquarters in Taguig—would be sent to different police regional office training centers in La Union, Isabela, Pampanga and the Cordillera region to undergo one-year rigorous theoretical and physical training, a statement issued by the NCRPO said.

The training would help develop organizational skills and enhance the competence, discipline, professionalism and excellence of every police recruit, the statement said.

Valmoria said the new police recruits “will be molded to be the new breed of police officers who will uphold the standard and the good image of the PNP.”
