MANILA, Philippines — Senator Antonio Trillanes IV chided the alleged dummy of Vice President Jejomar Binay for smiling and sometimes laughing during Thursday’s continuation of the Senate investigation into the allegedly overpriced Makati City Hall 2 parking building.
“Mr Tony Tiu, you can smile or laugh all you want but you and I know what happened,” Trillanes said during the hearing of the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee.
“Huwag kang magpa-cute, hindi kami naku-cute-an,” Trillanes said.
(Don’t try to look cute because we don’t find you cute.)
Tiu was being grilled by the subcommittee over his claim that he owned the Sunchamp Agri-Tourism Park being linked to the Vice President.
Trillanes also confronted Tiu over last week’s incident when he and members of the media were initially barred from entering the Batangas property.
“Noon pumunta kami, nag ocular inspection kami, ang yabang ni Mr. Tiu… Kaya hindi ka makaporma doon dahil bisita ka rin gaya namin,” said the senator.
(When we went there, we did an ocular inspection. Mr. Tiu. was arrogant… But the reason why you can’t have your way there is because you’re also a visitor there.)
