THE University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers will be looking for revenge today as they battle the reigning champions University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters for the second time this season in the seniors division of the 2011 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. basketball tournament at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Lancers, former nine-time titlists in the Cesafi, are itching to get back at the Webmasters for the 67-78 loss which they were handed in the first round.

However, the task will be easier said than done, especially with the presence of UC’s prized center, 6-foot-10 Junemar Fajardo, who burned the Lancers for 30 markers in their first round encounter.

UV is expected to be up to the challenge with the inside being manned by 6-foot-7 Andrew Avillanoza and veteran bruisers Edrian Lao and Jerome Silva. In yesterday’s game in the juniors division, the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Baby Jaguars got past the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors, 78-74.

USC, which was paced by Ian Ortega’s 23, fell to a dismal 2-9.  /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
