Marikina riverbank yields 2 bullet-riddled bodies
MANILA, Philippines—The bodies of two men, hog-tied and riddled with gunshot wounds, were found along the banks of Marikina River in Marikina City Thursday morning.
Both victims, who remained unidentified at press time, sported “Sputnik” gang tattoos and appeared to have been shot on the same spot where they were found in Barangay Calumpang.
Several casings of .45-caliber bullets were also recovered in the area, according to Marikina City police chief Senior Supt. Vincent Calanoga.
A resident living nearby claimed to have heard at least three gunshots around 2:30 a.m. Morning joggers later found the two bodies dumped next to each other. Jeannette I. Andrade
