ROSARIO, BATANGAS, Philippines–Senator Antonio Trillanes IV brought the media on Thursday to an on-site inspection of the controversial property in Batangas, which is being linked to Vice President Jejomar Binay.
The senator joined the convoy of media members, who left the Senate compound at around 9:30am.
Trillanes’ staff member said the senator was only accompanied by aides and lawyers.
It was Trillanes, during the hearing of the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee Wednesday, who suggested the onsite inspection at a 350-hectare Sunchamp Agri-Tourism Park, allegedly owned by the Vice President.
But Binay has repeatedly denied the allegation.
On Wednesday, businessman Antonio Tiu, the alleged owner of the property, welcomed the request of the subcommittee for an ocular inspection.
