Camarines Norte gov believes missing wife still alive

lupiMANILA, Philippines―An emotional Governor Edgardo “Egay” Tallado said Monday that he still believes that his wife, Josie Tallado, is still alive three days since she disappeared with her aide identified as Darlene Francisco Friday afternoon.

Speaking at a press conference, Tallado teared up when he urged the public to relay any information on the whereabouts of his wife and Francisco to police.

A special task force called “Task Force Josie” was formed by Camarines Norte Provincial Police to find Josie Tallado and Francisco. It is headed by acting provincial police director Police Senior Superintendent Moises C. Pagaduan.

The task force also tapped the support of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and members of the Philippine Army in Camarines Norte.
Tallado and Francisco were headed to Barangay (village) 3 in Vinzons town onboard a black Toyota Fortuner to meet some village officials Friday afternoon but failed to show up.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in Lupi town in neighboring Camarines Sur province on Saturday.

Lupi could be reached in 30 minutes by car from Vinzons.
