MANILA, Philippines―The wife of Camarines Norte governor Edgardo “Egay” A. Tallado and her aide were reported missing since October 17, a radio report said Sunday.

Police Officer 1 Michael Lubiano from Vinzons Municipal Police was quoted in the radio report stating that Josie Tallado and her aide, identified as Darlene Francisco, were scheduled to arrive in Barangay (village) 3, Vinzons town last Friday but failed to show up.

Tallado and Francisco rode a black Toyota Fortuner with license plate PRI 744, which was found abandoned on Maharlika Highway in Napolidan village, Lupi town in neighboring province Camarines Sur at 7:45 p.m. Friday.

In a phone interview, PO3 Christopher Biseng of Vinzons Municipal Police told that they do not have any information yet regarding the whereabouts of Tallado and Francisco.

He added that an investigation is currently underway led by the Camarines Norte provincial police office with the assistance of PNP Region 5.
