MANILA, Philippines— A black bag containing his clothes and pieces of jewelry believed to be owned by slay victim Zenaida Sison were seized from 29-year-old primary suspect Michael Dy Flores when he was arrested early Wednesday morning in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, police said.

Flores was arrested around 12:05 midnight Wednesday after he trespassed into a house at Garden Villas 3 Subdivison in Barangay (village) Malusak to hide, which prompted the house owner to immediately call the attention of the police.

Chief Inspector Rodelio Marcelo, Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (Cidu) of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), said this in a memorandum sent to QCPD district director Chief Superintendent Richard Albano obtained by INQUIRER.net.

The 75-year-old Sison was found dead with multiple stab wounds and head injuries, with a piece of cloth stuffed in her mouth, in the bedroom of her two-story house on Lazcano Street, Barangay Paligsahan in Quezon City.

The body was found by Picache and her driver. Her family later reported the loss of a cell phone and pieces of jewelry from the house.

Flores was one of the stay-out helpers in Sison’s house, meaning he went to work only during daytime.

Police later found out Flores had been the subject of complaints for theft from his past employers in Las Piñas City and in Cavite and Laguna provinces but no formal charges were filed since he allegedly took only small items.
