MANILA, Philippines—The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday advised motorists to avoid routes in Mandaluyong and Quezon City that will undergo road reblocking starting tonight up to early Monday morning.
The road works are scheduled to begin 10 p.m. Friday on the following:
A southbound lane of Araneta Avenue, from Calamba Street to Quezon Avenue; a southbound lane of C5 Road between Mercury Avenue and Richmond Avenue; a southbound lane of Edsa between Connecticut and Libertad, Mandaluyong City; the outermost southbound lane of C5 Road from CJ Caparas Street to Lanuza Street; and a southbound lane of Mindanao Avenue, from Old Sauyo Road to Rosal Street.
A northbound lane of Edsa between Temple Drive and United Street in Mandaluyong; a northbound lane of CP Garcia Avenue in Quezon City; and a westbound lane of Congressional Avenue, from April Street to Ayshire.
Meanwhile, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it had received clearance from the MMDA to repair parts of Congressional Avenue and its extension which had been damaged by trucks and other heavy vehicles.
