MANILA, Philippines—A thunderstorm has developed and has poured rains over Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, the weather bureau said.

In its thunderstorm advisory issued at 4:45 pm, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that portions of Quezon City; Tayabas City, Tiaong and Dolores in Quezon province; Zambales, Angat, San Jose Delmonte and San Rafael in Bulacan; Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija; portions of Batangas and Rizal would experience heavy rains and strong winds that may persist for two hours.

On Wednesday, another thunderstorm has submerged much of Metro Manila causing heavy traffic.
