Thunderstorm drenches Metro Manila, neighboring provinces

MANILA, Philippines—A thunderstorm has submerged much of Metro Manila in floods as lightning and thunder raged over, the weather bureau said.

In its bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said at 5:01 pm that Metro Manila, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, the towns of Macabebe, Masanto and Mexico in Pampanga and the towns of Antipolo, Cainta, San Mateo and Taytay in Rizal.

Pagasa added that the thunderstorm may persist for two hours.

Cavite and Laguna may also experience thunderstorms within the next two hours.
