6 hurt in bus, truck collision in La Union

MANILA, Philippines–At least six people – not 13 as earlier reported – were hurt when a wayward cargo truck slammed into a passenger bus along Aspiras Highway in Pugo town, La Union province on Monday afternoon.
Police Inspector Rolando Bruan, Pugo Police Station deputy chief of police, said in a phone interview with INQUIRER.net that a descending Fuso truck, which developed mechanical problem, crashed into a Baguio-bound Victory Liner bus.
The bus, bearing AYK 525 license plates, carried 10 passengers from a terminal in Manila.
The truck bore CWP 644 license plates.
Mainit was rushed to Baguio City General Hospital for treatment while four passengers of the bus and its conductor were brought to the rural health unit of Pugo for medical treatment.
