MANILA, Philippines—The Mayon Volcano continued to show minimal activities the last 24 hours, the volcanology institute said Monday.

In its Mayon Volcano bulletin posted at 8:00 am, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported two volcanic earthquakes and four rockfall events during the past 24 hours.

Phivolcs added the sulfur dioxide flux was measured at an average of 1,265 metric tons a day on September 27.

No crater glow was observed on Sunday night, Phivolcs said.

Despite the minimal activities of the volcano, Phivolcs said that Alert Level 3 is still up with magma peering at the crater and that a hazardous eruption is possible within weeks.
