MANILA, Philippines–The Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court has deferred the arraignment of the two cops involved in the robbery and kidnapping incident in the middle of the Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (Edsa) last Sept. 1.

Instead, Mandaluyong RTC Branch 213 Judge Carlos Valenzuela has set an Oct. 8 hearing for the motion to quash filed by Chief Inspector Joseph De Vera, Deputy Commander of the La Loma Police Station in Quezon City and Police Officer 2 Jonathan Rodriguez.

The two cops have been slapped with one count of robbery in band, one count of kidnapping for ransom and violation of the Anti Carnapping Act of 1972.
