Multiple collision on Commonwealth Avenue causes heavy traffic
MANILA, Philippines – A multiple collision involving two sport utility vehicles and a van caused heavy traffic early Monday along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City although no one was reported injured.
The driver of Honday CR-V reportedly lost control, hitting a Mitsubishi Delica and causing it to fall on its side and sideswiping a Nissan Urvan.
Johnson Francisco, of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Metrobase, told INQUIRER.net that the collision happened in front of a home depot on the innermost eastbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue.
Francisco said all involved vehicles will be brought to the Quezon City traffic bureau for further investigation.
While traffic authorities were clearing the area, the accident occupied two lanes of Commonwealth Avenue which caused road congestion.
But as of 8:06 a.m, the MMDA said the accident was cleared.
