MANILA, Philippines—With Tropical Storm “Mario” on its upward track out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, Red rainfall warning signals have been lifted and it’s the Orange signals that take the high level.

In its heavy rainfall warning bulletin issued at 3 a.m. Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Zambales and Tarlac are under Orange rainfall warning signal.

Zambales and Tarlac may experience 15 millimeters to 30 mm of rain in an hour or four to eight gallons of water per square meter in an hour wherein floods are threatening to happen.

Both Zambales and Tarlac had a Red rainfall warning in Pagasa’s previous bulletin.

Pagasa added that Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal and Nueva Ecija are under Yellow rainfall warning and may experience 7.5 mm to 15 mm or two gallons of rain per square meter in an hour.

As of 1 a.m., Pagasa spotted “Mario” at an estimated 133 kilometers northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
