The state university’s Facebook post quoted Chancellor Michael Tan as saying classes will resume because tropical storm “Mario” has weakened.
The announcement raised eyebrows from netizens as many Metro Manila schools have already suspended Saturday classes due to floods and impassable roads.

In the end, Tan said he retracted his earlier announcement and suspended classes due to the number of appeals from students.
