MANILA, Philippines—Monsoon rain is expected to drench western Luzon on Tuesday, a day after Typhoon “Luis” left the Philippine area of responsibility, the weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the western part of northern Philippines, particularly Zambales and Bataan provinces, will experience occasional rains due to the southwest monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms, Pagasa added.
