Tomongha new wage board labor rep

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III has appointed a new member of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) for Central Visayas.

He appointed Jose Tomongha, chairman of the Alliance of Progressive Labor (APL) in Central Visayas, as one of two labor representatives in the wage board..

Tomongha will replace Marianito Ventura, whose term already expired.

Tomongha took his oath two weeks ago.

He will serve a five-year term.

Tomongha along with lawyer Ernesto Carreon of the Associated Labor Unions-Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (ALU TUCP) will represent the labor sector in the Central Visayas board.

The seven-member board is headed by Exequiel Sarcauga, regional director of the Department of Labor and Employment as chairman.  Correspondent Jhunnex Napallacan
