Miriam back to work, ‘ready to punch’ enemies
MANILA, Philippines — Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago is back, “ready to punch” her enemies.
Santiago returned to the Senate on Monday after she announced last July 2 that she had Stage 4 lung cancer.
“I’m here and ready to punch my enemies in the nose,” she told reporters before presiding over a confirmation hearing of Commission on Appointments’ committee on foreign affairs.
Santiago said also lashed at those accused with plunder and those allegedly involved in the purportedly grossly overpriced Makati City Hall 2 parking building.
She said those people were “the reasons why God created the middle finger.”
