5.1-magnitude earthquake rocks Tawi-Tawi

MANILA, Philippines—A magnitude 5.1 earthquake jolted Tawi tawi on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs said the quake struck 70 kilometers south of Ubian town in Tawi-tawi around 8:26 a.m.

It had a depth of 72 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.

It said no immediate damages were reported but aftershocks were expected.
