MANILA, Philippines–The Visayas and Mindanao are expected to experience rain due to the southwest monsoon (habagat), the weather bureau said on Monday.

In its weather bulletin early Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the two island groups and Palawan would experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, it added.
