UP Circuit hosts PalEEEtan 2014
MANILA, Philippines – PalEEEtan is never a simple student get-together. This year was no exception.
This year, the event’s theme was the ultimate kiddie party. The event aimed to make the participating students feel young and refreshed during this usually hectic time for them, as prelims and midterms were just around the corner.
The event was held last August 25, 2014, at the College for Social Work and Community Development in the University of the Philippines – Diliman. Students from different universities gathered on that day to play and unwind. Members of different EEE student organizations, the likes of Mapua-IEEE, UST EEC, IEEE-UESB, and FEU CpEO, joined the event. Each game had the people laughing hard from the jokes and funny remarks of the emcee to the games that required you to shed off the last bit off shame in your body.
Given that the event took up an entire day, the participants and organizers got together to eat lunch along with chatting up with some of the students. At the end, even though the winning team dominated over the other, everyone left with smiles on their faces, especially when the goodie bags were distributed and some fought over bags that had pens instead of pencils, like little kids. The event allowed many EEE students to come together and meet. Some were reunited with friends from other universities and reconnect, while others found new friends and new connections. PalEEEtan truly was an unbelievable recess.
Organized by UP Circuit, this event would never have come into fruition without their sponsors: Accenture, Integrated Microelectronics Inc., and Industrial Controls Corporation. They hope to see you next time as PalEEEtan does not end here yet. There is still a campus exchange next semester so be sure to look out for it! (advt)
