MANILA, Philippines-Tectonic movements set off a magnitude 5.3 earthquake in the seas 92 kilometers northeast of Jomalig, Quezon.
In the earthquake bulleting of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake occurred at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday.
Phivolcs said the earthquake had a depth of focus of 10 km.
Intensity III was felt in Quezon City and Phivolcs added that aftershocks are imminent.
Damage to property is not expected from the quake, Phivolcs said.
