MANILA, Philippines — The powerful Commission on Appointments on Wednesday confirmed the ad interim appointment of General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines to the grade of general.
No member of the CA objected when Catapang’s appointment was recommended for confirmation in the plenary.
Senate President Franklin Drlion presided over the confirmation hearing.
