MANILA, Philippines—A low pressure area east of Luzon that has lingered since Monday is expected to continue to bring rains over Metro Manila and neighboring regions, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

In its weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA was spotted at 350 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora, as of 4 a.m.

Pagasa said Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol, Caraga and the Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains.
