Below is a calendar of activities lined up in observance of the National Teachers Month:
Sept. 1-12
Distribution of Basa Pilipinas-developed teaching and learning materials for the school year’s second quarter for Grades 1 and 2 teachers in Basa-supported schools in La Union, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Cebu and Bohol provinces (United States Agency for International Development Basa Pilipinas, with the Department of Education or DepEd). Venue is in Ilocos Sur province.
Sept. 5
Launch of 2014 National Teachers Month (NTM) (Metrobank Foundation with National Teachers Month Coordinating Council). Venue is Metrobank Plaza Auditorium.

Launch of the 2014 NTM Commemorative Stamps (PhilPost with the DepEd and Metrobank Foundation). Venue is Metrobank Plaza Auditorium.
Leaders’ Summit: Seminar for principals focusing on total personal and professional growth, which deserves to be managed diligently and harmoniously (World Council for Curriculum and Instruction or WCCI, with Bacoor City Organization of Private Schools). Venue is Island Cove.
GSIS Launch of NTM with Exhibit and Teachers Fair. Venue is GSIS Pasay City.
Press conference on NTM (Coalition for Better Education or CBE, with Philippine Information Agency; to be televised on SkyCable)
Sept. 6
Eighth Karunungan Festival on Global Education/Global Citizenship Education (Unesco National Commission of the Philippines). Venue is the National Museum.
Teaching with Technology Training Workshop. Free and hands-on for both public and private school teachers (Vibal Foundation with a technology partner). Venue is in Baguio City.
Sept. 8-13
Project TEACH-ICT Integration Using PBL Approaches for selected Region V high school teachers (CBE with the DepEd Region V and CitySavings Bank). Venue is in Legazpi City.
Sept. 9
Seminar on Breakthrough Thinking in Education with Dr. Allan de Guzman for teachers, principals and guidance counselors. Venue is St. Dominic College of Asia (WCCI and St. Dominic College of Asia).
