MANILA, Philippines–Just hours after a Senate inquiry on the recent Metro Rail Transit-3 accident that injured 38 people, ‎operations of the MRT got partially disrupted anew on Monday afternoon.

Atty. Hernando Cabrera, acting MRT spokesperson, said over Twitter that the delay was due to ‎the calibration of the MRT’s signaling system.

But he clarified that the delay was not due to technical glitches and defects in MRT trains.

“MRT3 signaling system being calibrated, all trains required to stop at nearest station,” he said.

‎Cabrera said only trips from Taft Avenue to Shaw Boulevard stations and vice versa will be operational.

An hour after, the MRT went back to its full line operations at around 5:50 p.m.
