MANILA, Philippines–Tectonic movements set off a magnitude 5.2 earthquake in the waters off Calayan Group of Islands on Monday morning.
In its bulletin, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was located 14 kilometers east of Calayan.
Intensity III was reportedly felt in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
Damages to infrastructure are not expected but aftershocks may occur, Phivolcs said.
