MANILA, Philippines–A low pressure area east of Eastern Samar may bring rain to areas in southern Philippines, according to the weather bureau.

In its Monday morning weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was spotted 770 kilometers east of Borongan, Eastern Samar, at 4 a.m.

The Visayas and the regions of Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

Pagasa added that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
