3 injured in bus accident in Ilocos Sur highway
MANILA, Philippines — Three passengers were injured when a mini-bus they were riding lost control and fell on its side early Thursday in Ilocos Sur, police said.
“May sinusundang tricycle itong Cabacungan bus na biglang nag-break. Para hindi niya matamaan, kinabig niya pakaliwa at nawalan na ito ng control,” said Police Inspector Joseph Fajardo of the Narvacan police.
The bus carrying at least 20 passengers was traversing a highway in Narvacan bound for Isabela when the incident happened at around 6 a.m.
Fajardo said the driver was now in police custody and could possibly face reckless imprudence resulting to physical injury assault.
The injured passengers are safe, he added.
