Couple tagged in killing
MANILA, Philippines–The police are looking for a couple believed to have stabbed a man to death shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Reports reaching the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) identified the couple as Noel Reyes and his wife, Nerie. The woman was believed to be the lover of the victim, Rosie Rada Jr., their neighbor. He was found dead due to multiple stab wounds in the couple’s rented room on C. Salvador Street, Park 7, Barangay (village) Loyola Heights in Quezon City.
According to the QCPD-CIDU report, the couple’s next-door neighbor, John Robert Silos, was awakened by a moaning sound coming from their room. When he peeked into the room, he saw Noel standing near the door and his wife holding a bag.
Silos said he reported the incident to barangay officials who broke down the door and found Rada lying on the bed in his underwear, his body bearing multiple stab wounds. The couple were nowhere to be found.
The police report said that Rada and Nerie were known to be having an affair.–Jaymee T. Gamil
