Jardeleza seeks leave to tie up loose ends from previous post

MANILA, Philippines — Newly appointed Supreme Court Associate Justice Francis Jardeleza has asked Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno for a two-week leave.
Jardeleza made the request during his oath taking last Wednesday.
Jardeleza said he would need to wind up his affairs at his previous post.
The Chief Justice has agreed to the request.
Jardeleza was appointed to fill up the post vacated by Associate Justice Roberto Abad after the high court ruled that he should be included in the shortlist of candidates.
