Man climbs Quezon Bridge — report

MANILA, Philippines—An unidentified man climbed the Quezon Bridge in Quiapo, Manila on Sunday and attempted to jump, a radio report said.

The man stayed on top of Quezon Bridge for two hours.

Four members of the Manila Fire Department climbed the bridge and rescued the man.

The man was armed with a small knife which he later surrendered to the rescuers.

FEATURED STORIES

Rescuers from Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-National Capital Region and the Philippine Red Cross have also responded on the scene.

One southbound lane is currently closed as a cushion bag was assembled by the BFP rescue team.

The man was brought to the Quiapo Police Station for questioning.
