7 killed, 14 hurt as truck loses brakes, plows through coconut trees
LINAMON, Lanao del Norte, Philippines — At least seven people were killed while 14 others were injured in a vehicular accident here on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Inspector Domingo Murillo II, chief of police here, said a truck carrying at least 30 passengers lost its brakes and hit a row of coconut trees.
The truck was on its way to Munai town.

Witnesses said passengers sitting on the truck’s roof were thrown and landed meters away from the vehicle.
