N. Luzon to experience monsoon rains while rest of PH will have fair weather
MANILA, Philippines–Northern Luzon will still experience monsoon rains on Friday, but the rest of the country will have fair weather, according to the state weather bureau.
“Ilocos Region, Batanes and Calayan Group of Islands will experience occasional rains,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Earlier, Typhoon “Jose” (Halong) made its exit Thursday morning. As a result, monsoon rains are likely to weaken as the typhoon intensified the southwest monsoon the past few days.
Pagasa said it had monitored no weather disturbance that could affect the country.
“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the south to southwest with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa said.
