Did you know: National Hospital Week

/ 03:58 AM August 06, 2014

National Hospital Week is observed from Aug. 6 to Aug. 12 by virtue of Proclamation No. 181 signed by then President Fidel V. Ramos on May 21, 1993. The first day of National Hospital Week coincides with the birth anniversary of Dr. Sixto Y. Orosa on Aug. 6. He drafted Act No. 3168 of the Philippine Legislature, which established provincial hospitals throughout the country and organized what has evolved into the current hospital system.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
