MANILA, Philippines — Government employees affected by the recent typhoons can go on a special leave so they can attend to their affairs.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is reminding state workers that the five-day emergency leave is available to those affected by typhoons Glenda (Rammasun) and Henry (Matmo).
“Civil servants may avail of the special emergency leave,” CSC chair Francisco Duque III said in a statement.
CSC Resolution 1200289 grants a five-day special emergency leave to government workers directly affected by natural disasters.
The resolution, issued on Feb. 8, 2012, allows a leave for employees stranded in affected areas, suffering from illnesses caused by natural disasters, taking care of immediate family members affected by natural calamities, or repairing and cleaning damaged houses.
