‘Glenda’ destroyed 28 houses during onslaught – OCD

MANILA, Philippines—A week after ravaging the Philippines, Typhoon “Glenda” has reportedly destroyed 28 houses during its onslaught in the country, the Office for Civil Defense said Thursday.

In its bulletin, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said a total 132 houses were damaged with 104 only partially damaged.

According to the NDRRMC, all of the damaged houses were in Negros Occidental with 14 of the totally destroyed in Valladolid and 11 from Pulupandan municipalities when “Glenda” struck the province Wednesday with winds of 140 kilometers per hour and gusts of 160 kph.

NDRRMC added that there are no stranded passengers in ports that they have resumed normal operations as of Wednesday morning.
