MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang on Tuesday said Budget Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad may submit the detailed list on the projects funded by the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) to the Senate this week.
(What we know is that the DBM is completing the comprehensive report on the details of projects funded by the DAP and it is possible that it will be tackled during the Senate hearing on Thursday.)
He said the hearing, where Abad is scheduled to testify, is one of the venues where the DAP, which was declared partly unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, could be publicly discussed.
Coloma said Abad will push through with his commitment to discuss questions on the DAP through the comprehensive report, which will be supported by documents.
Details on the 116 DAP projects have long been requested by media and other groups to shed light on how the questioned funds were utilized.
