Torres noted that while the effect of the shear line is no longer felt in any part of the country, the weakened northeast monsoon will still bring rains in some areas in Luzon.

“Sa Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Calabarzon [Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon], Mimaropa [Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan] at sa Bicol region, asahan ang improved weather conditions except sa mga panandaliang buhos ng ulan dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” Torres added.

Meanwhile, the weather specialist said that overcast weather will prevail in the whole parts of Mindanao and areas of Palawan and Visayas due to the ITCZ or the convergence of winds coming from the northern and southern hemispheres.
She also warned of possible flooding and landslides brought by rains.

While no gale warning is raised over any seaboard of the country, strong waves may affect the coasts of Northern Luzon, while moderate to rough conditions are expected for the rest of the region and the eastern section of the country.
