MANILA, Philippines—An assistant commissioner from the Commission on Audit (COA) told the Sandiganbayan on Thursday that Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. endorsed the bogus foundations of businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles that received his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel.
Commissioner Susan Garcia stood before the witness stand and told the anti-graft court that Revilla even wrote a letter to the COA verifying that the signatures in the letters of endorsement were his.
Revilla also verified that he endorsed lawyer Richard Cambe, his co-accused in the plunder case, as his authorized representative, Garcia said.
Garcia made the statement during the bail hearing motion of Revilla for his plunder case on the pork barrel scam, which Napoles, now detained, allegedly masterminded.
