MANILA, Philippines – The province of Camarines Norte was placed under a state of calamity as Typhoon “Glenda” sliced through the Bicol region Tuesday night.
Governor Edgar Tallado told a radio station that a blackout hit the province following strong winds.
Camarines Norte was among several areas placed under Storm Signal No. 3.
According to the governor, the typhoon has toppled trees, electric poles and flooded several villages.
He added that strong winds blew off roofs but no reports of casualties were received so far.
